Where have I been??

Well, that is a loaded question!! In the past year, my husband and I bought a new house and moved our family. Making this house our home has been trying and challenging but fun and rewarding. Does that make sense?

We just love it here and know it was the right move for our family. But I can promise you, I WILL NEVER MOVE AGAIN! What a royal pain Smile. Today, I just got notice that our old house (that has been on the market for 13 months) sold today. HOW WONDERFUL!!

I also have been busy with Girl Scouts. My daughter is now 8 years old and a Brownie. When we moved, we transferred to Citrus Council based out of Orlando. I am so glad that we did it. They were so welcoming and friendly. Her school did not have a troop so I stepped up again to be a leader. It is so rewarding. I have a troop of 9 girls and they are so amazing and special. Everyone gets along so well and we do a lot of great things. I want to share a few pictures with you of our fun…

So this is just a glimpse into what I have been doing. Does not seem like a lot but it keeps me totally busy, just take a look at my calendar…HA!

Stay tuned for a book review that I am doing for next week. Great author, Joyce Magnin takes us on a road trip. LOVED THIS BOOK. See you soon!!

Verizon’s First game of the season

100_3147

For 2 weeks in a row we kept getting rained out. So last Friday, we finally had a beautiful evening for the Mini-T’s to play. We will play the same team all year since they did not have enough 4 year olds to make more than 2 teams.

It was a lot of fun to watch my little man learn the sport that his daddy loves. I am the assistant team mom so I got to watch up close in the dugout.

The first inning was a little frustrating cause Matthew did not want to stay out on the field. It was so cute to watch all the kids run at once and dive on the ball. They did not get the concept of staying at your positions. Matthew got a little discouraged from time to time because he wanted to get the ball so badly!100_3153100_3156He loved hitting the best. He was so adorable and he did pretty well. The second time up to bat he wailed on it and it rolled past the pitcher’s mound. I really believe with time he will get a lot of power in his swing. This is something that I really look forward to every week. He just looks so cute and grown up out there!100_3158100_3159Tomorrow we play again! I can not wait to see my lil slugger in action again!!

First Dentist trip

With the kids being 4 and 6 I figured it was about time we visited the dentist. I was not really worried about cavities since my kids LOVE to brush but it never hurts to check.

Julianna was first up…very apprehensive and scared but she did really well. She was very scared about the x-rays. The hygienist was so good with her. She talked her through everything and we got through it. She thought the “vacuum” and teeth cleaning was fun. Here are some pics of her…

100_3046Matthew acted like an old pro in the dentist chair. He could not wait to see his teeth in “pictures”. He counted along with the dentist  when he counted his teeth. No cavities for either of them! YAY!! He sat sooo still and loved having his teeth brushed. He was so proud of himself. And I was so proud of both of them. Matt and I kept switching cubicles so I could take pictures of this momentus day…I know I am evil!

T-Ball here we come

Another new chapter has opened for us. I have embarked on a new journey, being a stay at home mother. With that said, I am able to get my kids in to some extra cirricular activites. My daughter just joined Girl Scouts and is a Daisy.  My son, who is 4, joined T-ball with a local little league. Tonight was his first practice.

Matthew was very excited for the past few days. We went cleat shopping, picked out his mitt and bat bag. He woke me up at 3am wanting to go to baseball practice. I really have never seen him so excited about  something. So off we went this evening to take this new adventure together.

It did not go exactly as expected. Fear overcame my sweet boy and when he was asked to run the bases with everyone else, he got scared and ran off the field. My husband decided to help him through this first practice and Matthew did not let go of Daddy’s hand for at least the first 10 minutes. They ran bases together and Matt stayed by Matthew’s side the whole practice. It was a wonderful bonding experience for them. It was a lot of fun. I want to share a few pictures from the evening.
